This year, 300 students will be awarded with scholarships up to $2,500 to help fund their education. Funds may be used for tuition, childcare, transportation, equipment, supplies, or other related costs. District and Community Scholarship Opportunities
Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR)
The applicant must be a resident of Alabama, a senior graduating from an accredited high school or homeschool program, and must plan to attend an accredited college or university in the State of Alabama.
ASDAR will award two $1,500 scholarships to deserving seniors, based on academic merit and need, at our 2026 State Conference.

The Montgomery Area Military Officers Scholarship Foundation (MAMOSF) will award its annual scholarships to more deserving high school seniors residing in the River Region. A scholarship will be granted to currently enrolled seniors at Tallassee High School.

A $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to a four-year college or university student.

A $500.00 scholarship to a student enrolling in a two-year college or technical school.

A $2,000.00 scholarship, the Lacey Brewer Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by Neptune Technology Group, Inc., will also be awarded.
By applying for either the $1,000.00 scholarship or the $500.00 scholarship, you will automatically be considered for the $2,000.00 scholarship.
Should the student receiving the $1,000.00 scholarship decide to attend a two-year school, the scholarship will be awarded to the runner-up. Should the student receiving the $500.00 scholarship decide to attend a four-year college, the scholarship will be awarded to the runner-up.

Tallassee Athletic Club Scholarship
Due March 31st
The Tallassee Athletic Club Scholarship will be awarded to one male and one female student-athlete award selected by the Tallassee Athletic Club Board. The scholarships will not be renewed; the recipient is a one-time recipient. The awards will be in the amount of a minimum of $500 each.

VFW - Veterans of Foreign Wars Scholarship
Due Date: April 1st
The VFW Post 5035 Scholarship was established in 2018. The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals enrolled for undergraduate study in community colleges and universities. The Scholarship principally targets two and four-year academic programs. It is a one-time scholarship of $2,000.00. Financial Assistance is based on academic performance, leadership potential, and references.

The Baxley Triumph Through Adversity Award honors the Baxley family’s dedication to education and the judicial system. This scholarship aims to recognize and support a deserving graduating senior who has shown resilience in overcoming adversity. The award is a one-time $500.00 scholarship and is not renewable.

Tallassee Lions Club
Due Date: April 14th
This scholarship is funded through the Tallassee Lions Club to recognize students who have improved their academic achievements over the past four years. It also recognizes those students who have developed significant work experience and are involved in volunteer community activities. This scholarship is available for any 2-year or 4-year college or technical program and will be payable to the student's college or university financial aid office. A student identification number and financial aid office address must be provided to the Lions Club. This scholarship is for only the first year of school and is not renewable. The Lions Club will award three of these $1,000.00 scholarships each year.

Atherton and Dopson Scholarships
There is a $2,500 scholarship, renewed annually for a total of four years. The scholarships may be used for college education expenses related to room, board, or tuition. This scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and may be used for Fall, Spring, and/or Summer terms.

This scholarship is open to high school seniors currently enrolled at Tallassee High School. Applicants must be active members of a Key Club that is in good standing with Kiwanis International, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and show the ability and motivation to succeed at the collegiate level. You must complete at least 20 service hours. Reviewers will give preference to students who show strong academic motivation and leadership through school activities, church or youth groups, community service, and/or work experience.

Central Alabama Electric Cooperative (CAEC) Lineman Scholarship Fund

•Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent GED and be at least 18 years of age by the start date of the course. The scholarship is not limited to High School Seniors.
•Candidate must reside within one of the 10 counties served by CAEC or Montgomery County, and the candidate is not required to be a current CAEC member.

William Buechner Jr. Memorial Scholarship
This opportunity is available for children of full-time or retired first responders (law enforcement, firefighters, corrections officers, and law enforcement dispatchers). If you have any students of full-time first responders who are graduating this year, please encourage them to apply. The foundation will award (4) $1,500 supplemental scholarships to those selected by the scholarship committee. This is the third year the organization has awarded funds to assist first-year college students. This year, we have expanded our scholarship footprint to include Lee, Russell, Macon, Chambers, and Tallapoosa Counties. These funds are made possible by proceeds from the William Buechner Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament, held annually in Auburn.
